For decades, Friday nights at Ecker Field have been more than just football games—they’ve been the heartbeat of Boiling Springs. Families, friends, alumni, and neighbors all gather under the lights to cheer on our Bubblers and connect as a community. But the fieldhouse at the center of all this pride has outlived its prime. An aging foundation, worn floorboards, and limited space mean it can’t keep up with the needs of today’s teams, fans, and community events. It’s time for something better—something that reflects our pride and supports our growing programs.
The vision is exciting: a brand new fieldhouse at the east end of Ecker Field that welcomes everyone who steps onto the grounds. Imagine walking through a bright, modern entrance flanked by team rooms, a community-friendly concession stand, and clean, accessible restrooms. Inside, there will be dedicated space for coaches, trainers, officials, and essential storage. A ticket booth, team store, and an inviting design will set the tone for every game day and event. This isn’t about something “fancy”—it’s about a dependable, lasting space built with care so that it serves the Bubblers for decades to come.
To make it happen, the district is launching a community-driven capital campaign—a true team effort of the South Middleton School District, local leaders, alumni, and friends near and far. We’ll be seeking donations from residents and graduates and building partnerships with local businesses, in addition to pursuing grants. Every contribution matters—whether it’s financial support or simply helping spread the word.
A new fieldhouse will provide more than modern amenities. It will give our student-athletes the facilities they deserve, improve safety and accessibility for all, and offer a welcoming place for our community to gather. Just like past generations left their mark by creating the spaces we enjoy today, this is our chance to invest in the future and create something lasting for the next wave of Bubblers
